“Blackout in Longueuil: Truck Collision with Power Line Leaves Thousands in the Dark”

A truck accident early Friday morning led to power outages affecting nearly 9,000 addresses in Longueuil. The incident occurred at 6:00 a.m. in a business parking lot on Jean-Paul-Vincent Boulevard, as confirmed by Longueuil police (SPAL). Fortunately, there were no reported injuries.

As a result of the collision, Jean-Paul-Vincent Boulevard has been closed between De la Métropole Street and Kirouac Street for an unspecified duration, as announced by SPAL on their Facebook page.

As of the latest update from Hydro-Québec’s website, 8,103 addresses were still without power shortly before 8:00 a.m.
