In a startling incident in Montreal on Friday evening, a young man was stabbed under mysterious circumstances.
The Montreal Police Service (SPVM) has launched a full investigation into this violent assault.
It all unfolded when a 911 call came in around 9:50 p.m., prompting officers to rush to the intersection of Victoria and Bourret Avenues in the Côte-des-Neiges neighborhood, where they found a 25-year-old man injured by a sharp object.
SPVM spokesperson Caroline Chèvrefils stated, “Upon arriving at the scene, police found a conscious 25-year-old man with a lower body wound from a sharp object. He was taken to the hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury.”
The details surrounding this disturbing attack remain shrouded in uncertainty.
Chèvrefils added, “To decipher the exact circumstances of the incident, a perimeter was established to secure the area for investigative and forensic analysis. The canine unit was also deployed to aid in the investigation.”
Efforts are underway to locate any surveillance cameras that may have captured crucial footage of the assault.
As of now, no suspects have been apprehended in connection with the attack.
