“BC Man Gets 8-Year Sentence for Crafting Illegal Guns with 3D Printer”

A man, Tyson Saverio Santolla, has been handed an eight-year prison sentence for engaging in drug trafficking and manufacturing firearms in British Columbia. Santolla was convicted of creating firearms using cutting-edge 3D printer technology, as well as trafficking methamphetamine and fentanyl.

This sentencing follows a thorough yearlong investigation carried out by the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of British Columbia (CFSEU-BC), a division of the RCMP. In May 2021, Santolla was apprehended, alongside two other individuals, during police raids at four different locations in Abbotsford and Aldergrove.

Having admitted guilt to three charges, including the illegal possession of a restricted firearm, Santolla’s activities were described as a severe threat to public safety by Sgt. Sarbjit K. Sangha.
