An individual was quickly taken to the hospital after a vehicle collision occurred in North York on a Tuesday morning.
First responders were alerted to the intersection of Steeles Avenue West and Petrolia Road, close to Keele Street, shortly after 8:15 a.m.
According to Toronto law enforcement, emergency medical services transferred the pedestrian to the hospital with severe injuries. The age of the individual has not been disclosed at this time.
Reports from 680 NewsRadio indicate that the driver responsible for the incident stayed at the site.
As a result of the collision, the affected area has been closed off to traffic.
