The TTC is gearing up for the long-awaited launch of Line 5 Eglinton this Sunday, bringing a wave of changes to its bus network to complement the new light rail service.
In an effort to enhance connectivity for passengers traveling along Eglinton Avenue and other intersecting routes, the transit agency has introduced six new bus routes and modified 14 existing ones to seamlessly integrate with the Eglinton Crosstown LRT.
Among the new routes are options designed to streamline travel for commuters, while existing routes have been optimized to facilitate smoother transfers to Line 5 Eglinton.
However, the 56 Leaside and 332 Eglinton West routes will no longer be in service, reflecting broader adjustments in the transit network.
These updates mark the latest in a series of improvements made by the TTC, including changes prior to the opening of Mount Dennis station and realignments coinciding with the launch of Line 6 Finch West.
