“Service Disruption on Line 2 Bloor-Danforth: Watermain Break and Signal Issues Halt Subway Traffic”

A section of the Line 2 Bloor-Danforth subway is currently out of service following a watermain break at Woodbine Station. According to TTC spokesperson Stuart Green, water leakage onto the tracks has led to switch and signal malfunctions, disrupting train operations.

The incident started at approximately 1 p.m. on Tuesday, prompting the suspension of train services between Broadview and Victoria Park stations. To assist commuters, shuttle buses have been deployed to operate between the affected stations.

Efforts are underway as TTC and Toronto Water teams collaborate to address the various issues arising from the watermain break. However, there is no specific timeline available for when normal subway service will be restored.
