The Vancouver International Airport Hits All-Time High in Travellers and Cargo
Vancouver International Airport soared to new heights in 2025, welcoming a record-breaking 26.9 million travellers and handling a remarkable 365,000 tonnes of cargo shipments. This marked a notable 2.7% increase in passenger traffic compared to the previous year, surpassing the previous record of 26.3 million passengers set in 2019.
The surge in domestic travel by 3.8% and a significant 15.6% rise in Asia Pacific passenger volumes contributed to the airport’s success. However, there was a slight dip of 7.1% in the number of passengers travelling between Vancouver and U.S. destinations.
The Vancouver International Airport’s growth continues to make it a key player in the aviation industry, with a 7.4% increase in cargo shipments demonstrating its importance as a hub for goods transportation.
