Montreal Police Nab Suspect Following Chaotic Plateau Shootout

A young man, aged 22, was apprehended on Tuesday following a shooting incident within an apartment complex in Montreal’s vibrant Plateau–Mont-Royal neighborhood.

According to authorities, a distress call was received just after 3:30 p.m. from the vicinity of Sherbrooke and Saint-Dominique streets. Upon arrival, law enforcement found a 29-year-old male victim who had sustained injuries during the confrontation.

The injured individual was swiftly transported to a medical facility for treatment and is anticipated to make a full recovery, given that his wounds are deemed non-life-threatening. Investigators determined that the gunshots had pierced the interior of the building while multiple occupants were present.

The 22-year-old individual believed to be involved in the shooting has been arrested and is slated for questioning by detectives. The police are actively looking into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
