“SUV Crashes Into Excavator in Surrey, Injuring Two: Emergency Crews Respond”

Two individuals have been hospitalized following a collision between an SUV and an excavator on 64th Avenue close to 159th Street in Surrey this Thursday morning.

According to Staff Sgt. Lindsey Houghton of the Surrey Police Service (SPS), a call was received just before 10:20 a.m. reporting the accident involving the vehicle and the construction equipment.

Houghton mentioned that the driver of the SUV and a construction worker sustained injuries and were transported to the hospital. Fortunately, their injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the driver might have faced a medical emergency, as per Houghton.

Following the incident, the road was temporarily shut down but has now been reopened. Commuters should anticipate significant delays in the vicinity.
