Unlock Up to $7,000 in Savings: Quebecers Poised to Benefit Big from New Federal EV Rebate!

Quebec’s New EV Rebate Program Makes Electric Vehicles More Affordable

Quebec residents are in for substantial savings of up to $7,000 on electric vehicles (EVs) thanks to a new rebate program introduced by the federal government.

The government recently unveiled its automotive strategy, which includes the EV Affordability Program. This initiative offers a rebate of $5,000 on EVs priced below $50,000. When combined with Quebec’s existing rebate of $2,000, consumers could potentially save up to $7,000 on fully electric vehicles.

In addition to the rebate for fully electric vehicles, plug-in hybrid models will also receive a rebate of $2,500 under the program. With Quebec’s incentives added to the mix, savings on these models can reach up to $3,500.

The program aims to make it more cost-effective for consumers to embrace environmentally friendly transportation options. The government has set a target for 75% of all vehicle sales in Canada to be fully electric by 2035.

Eric Buzaglo, cofounder of Auto Consultants, noted that many consumers are attracted to electric vehicles as a way to save money on fuel costs. The availability of incentives has driven increased interest in electric cars in recent years.

Industry experts believe that the government’s rebate program will be appealing to Quebecers, as evidenced by previous trends in the province’s vehicle sales.
