“Breaking: Emergency Crews Battle Intense Townhouse Blaze in North Vancouver”

A fire at a townhouse complex in North Vancouver prompted the evacuation of several residents on Sunday morning. The incident, near the intersection of 14th Street West and Bewicke Avenue, was swiftly responded to by the North Vancouver City Fire Department (NVCFD) around 9:30 a.m.

Assistant fire chief David Biggin reported that upon arrival, two townhouses were engulfed in smoke and flames. Thankfully, all occupants were safely evacuated. While the fire has been contained, operations are ongoing as of 10:45 a.m.

With five fire apparatus and around 25 firefighters on the scene, the NVCFD continues to work diligently to manage the situation.
