An unexpected glitch in the communications equipment caused a brief disruption in Montreal’s metro network on Tuesday. All four metro lines came to a halt around 11:45 a.m., but normal service was restored within just 30 minutes, much earlier than initially anticipated.
Reports indicate that the equipment failure was due to maintenance work at the Berri-UQAM metro station, resulting in a temporary breakdown in communication between trains and the control room.
