FBI Arrests Montreal Man in Connection with Ryan Wedding Investigation

A Canadian man linked to a criminal organization reportedly led by former Olympic athlete Ryan Wedding has been apprehended in the United States.

Tommy Demorizi, aged 35, was taken into custody at Newark International Airport in New Jersey by the FBI on Tuesday. He was sought for various charges, which included aiding in locating a witness who met a tragic fate.

Among the serious accusations facing Demorizi are involvement in cocaine distribution, murder conspiracy, and witness tampering.

The investigation into Ryan Wedding has also resulted in the arrest of other Canadians, such as a lawyer allegedly connected to plotting the murder of a federal witness and a jeweler believed to have served as the criminal group’s primary financial hub.

Ryan Wedding was captured in Mexico in January following an extensive manhunt. FBI Director Kash Patel labeled him as “the largest narco trafficker in modern times.”
