“Mississauga Rocked by Youth Crime Spree: Nearly 200 Charges Filed Amid Break-In Epidemic”

Peel Regional Police have accused three young individuals of being behind a series of commercial break-ins in Mississauga from November 2025 to January 2026.

According to investigators, these unnamed suspects were allegedly involved in over 35 break-ins at various businesses throughout the area. The police reported that multiple vehicles, including a 2007 silver Acura RDX and a 2009 Hyundai Elantra, were used during these incidents.

In response to the rise in break-ins, authorities initiated Project Toretto. This operation reached its climax on February 10 when officers conducted searches at three residences in Mississauga, along with one vehicle search.

The search operations resulted in the apprehension of two young offenders and the recovery of more than $50,000 worth of stolen items, such as jackets, shoes, perfumes, and other cosmetic products, as stated by the police.

Both individuals are now facing multiple charges, including break and enter offenses, disguise with intent, and possession of break-in tools. They have been detained pending a bail hearing.

While the third suspect remains at large, Deputy Chief Marc Andrews of Peel Police emphasized the grave impact of break-ins on the community and reassured residents of the force’s dedication to identifying the culprits and restoring safety to the affected areas.
