Authorities in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia are facing a mystery surrounding the primary gun used in a recent tragic school shooting. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) have revealed that the perpetrator utilized an unregistered shotgun to commit the heinous act, starting by fatally shooting her mother and sibling at their residence before proceeding to the school where she used additional firearms.
RCMP Deputy Commissioner Dwayne McDonald disclosed that the shotgun played a central role in the school shooting and had not been previously confiscated by law enforcement. The origin of the weapon remains unknown, prompting a concerted effort by the police to ascertain the owner and trace the origins of all four firearms employed in the dual-location tragedy.
According to McDonald, the investigation suggests that the assailant was not targeting specific individuals but was, in his words, more akin to “hunting” victims indiscriminately. He further noted that the perpetrator exhibited a high level of preparation and actively engaged with anyone she encountered.
