The Place Vertu service center in Montreal, operated by the Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ), is currently undergoing a temporary closure as the organization conducts an internal investigation in response to customer complaints.
On Thursday, the provincial auto insurer confirmed that services at the Place Vertu location have been suspended while an administrative review is underway. The SAAQ’s investigations department is actively looking into the complaints to assess their validity.
Due to the ongoing investigation, officials have chosen not to disclose the specifics of the complaints at this time to protect the integrity of the process. The service interruption will continue until the review is finalized.
Customers who had appointments scheduled at the Place Vertu site will be contacted and offered alternative dates at nearby service centers in Kirkland and on Henri-Bourassa Blvd. Additionally, some transactions can be completed online, providing customers with alternative options during this period.
The SAAQ has expressed gratitude for customers’ patience and understanding regarding the temporary disruption in service. At present, no information has been released regarding when regular operations at the Place Vertu location will resume.
