Thousands Expected to Protest Against Iranian Regime in Downtown Vancouver
A significant protest against the current Iranian regime is set to draw a large crowd of demonstrators in downtown Vancouver this Saturday.
Anticipated to attract up to 30,000 individuals, the Global Day of Action protest will take place at David Lam Park in Yaletown, as per the Vancouver Police Department (VPD).
The VPD has confirmed that in addition to this main demonstration, there will be four other rallies occurring in different parts of the downtown area on the same day. Consequently, the police force will be increasing their presence with extra officers to help manage the situation and ensure minimal disruptions.
The VPD stated that officers will be utilizing various methods such as bicycles, motorcycles, vehicles, and foot patrols to oversee the crowds and support peaceful protests.
Given the expected high turnout, those planning to travel downtown should prepare for substantial delays and road closures.
