Tragic Head-On Collision Claims One Life and Leaves Two in Critical Condition in Mirabel
A devastating incident unfolded on Tuesday night in Mirabel, as a head-on collision on Highway 50 resulted in the loss of a man in his 30s and left two others critically injured.
The Sûreté du Quebec (SQ) responded to the scene after receiving reports of the collision involving two vehicles around 8:30 p.m.
Initial findings suggest that the first vehicle, carrying seven individuals, swerved off its westward path before colliding with another vehicle heading in the opposite direction, as detailed by Laurie Avoine, spokesperson for the SQ.
Eight individuals were rushed to the hospital following the crash, with one of them tragically succumbing to their injuries, Avoine confirmed.
Presently, two of the injured individuals remain in critical condition, with their lives hanging in the balance. Fortunately, the driver of the second vehicle sustained only minor injuries.
The investigation into this heart-wrenching incident is currently underway.
