Communities across Vancouver are welcoming the Lunar New Year with celebrations, including the 52nd Annual Chinatown Spring Festival Parade Sunday.
Drivers should expect heavy delays through downtown as several road closures will be in place on sections of the following streets:
Main StreetPender Street (East and West)Beatty StreetAbbott StreetTaylor StreetShanghai AlleyColumbia StreetQuebec StreetCarrall StreetKeefer StreetKeefer PlaceGore AvenueEast Georgia Street
Road closures run from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
The parade starts at 11 a.m. and will last approximately three hours. It starts at the Millennium Gate at West Pender and Taylor streets, will head along East Pender and Gore Street, and will conclude at the corner of Keefer and Carrall streets.
