Boil water advisory issued for Montreal’s Saint-Laurent, West Island

The City of Montreal has issued a boil water advisory for cities on Montreal’s West Island and the Saint-Laurent borough due to maintenance work in the water system.

The City said the advisory affects 200 addresses in Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Dorval, Pointe-Claire, and the borough of Saint-Laurent.

Officials warn that residents in areas affected should boil water for at least one minute before consuming it or using it to brush their teeth.

Non-boiled tap water can only be used when washing dishes in hot water, doing laundry or showering.

The advisory is in effect for an indefinite period.
