A man in his 50s was shot Thursday afternoon in the Longueuil area, in Montérégie.
According to the Longueuil police (SPAL), the victim arrived at Pierre-Boucher Hospital around 3:15 p.m. with what police described as a firearm wound.
Police officers were also dispatched to an address on Blvd. Nobert in connection with the incident.
“The premises have been secured,” SPAL said in a statement posted on X. Authorities said they will not release additional information for the moment in order to avoid compromising the ongoing investigation.
