Montreal police are investigating after a man was found dead inside an apartment building Tuesday night in the city’s Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie borough.
Officers were called to the building on Masson Street near 4th Avenue around 10 p.m. after a 911 call reported an incident at the location.
According to Montreal police (SPVM), responding officers located a man inside the apartment who was unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the cause and circumstances of the death are not yet known, and the man’s identity has not been confirmed.
A security perimeter has been set up around the building while investigators and forensic technicians examine the scene. The investigation remains ongoing.
