Montreal performer Jimmy Moore brings ‘Mayhem Ball Tour’ on stage

Montreal celebrity impersonator Jimmy Moore is bringing his own ‘Mayhem Ball Tour’, premiering March 21st at Cabaret Mado.

CityNews joined the artist backstage for a fitting of one of Lady Gaga’s most iconic looks. Moore met with trusted Montreal costume designer Pascal Guilbault for a final fitting — a four‑piece gown inspired by Lady Gaga’s iconic red velvet opera‑style opening look.

“I need to look at the video, the photo, each detail. So I scroll it to have a lot of details and just recreate as close as possible,” said Guilbault.

Guilbault added, “It’s around maybe 80 hours, something like that. So it’s a lot of details, just the pleaded, it took me like two days.”

This production features five acts and more than 15 costume changes, all inspired by the original Mother Monster show.

More than 2,000 spectators have seen Moore transform into pop icons — from Céline Dion to Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga.

“I’m just like an actor. So let’s say you come and see my Celine Dion show or my Taylor Swift show — it’s completely two different worlds. So I impersonate Lady Gaga as an actor would approach her personality. So when you come and see me, you have all the costumes, you have all the dancers, you have all the atmosphere, and you have my full interpretation of her,” said Moore.

With ticket prices for major concerts climbing into the hundreds — even thousands — Moore says his goal is to make the magic accessible to everyone. For one night only, Moore will bring his Mayhem Ball Tour to the TD Studio Theatre on May 29th — with one show open to all.

“I’m very used to performing in big theaters with my other project of the ‘Era tour’ with Taylor Swift, but for that show, I wanted to give the kids a chance to come only once, because I have no project to bring that show like all around the province. But I wanted to give everybody a chance to see that production because it’s it’s going to be my best Lady Gaga show for sure,” said Moore.
