The Abbotsford Police Department (AbbyPD) says officers are currently responding to a “weapons call” at Abbotsford Regional Hospital.
Police put the hospital into lockdown sometime before 2:40 p.m.
“A heavy police presence is noted on site,” AbbyPD said in a written statement.
No injuries have been reported so far.

As the incident is ongoing, the police have not provided more information.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area around the hospital.
On social media, people inside the hospital report that the lockdown was imposed around 2 p.m. with staff, patients, and guests being advised to go to a secure location and shelter in place.
People also say that police officers are inside the hospital now, checking rooms.
The AbbyPD has not disclosed what triggered the lockdown.
