Surrey police investigating shots fired at a home in Newton

The Surrey Police Service (SPS) says it is investigating a shots-fired incident at a home in Newton on Monday.

Police say they were called to the residence, located on 126A Street near 75th Avenue, after a homeowner found bullet holes in his door and front window.

The homeowner didn’t hear the shooting, but neighbours and CCTV footage confirm the shooting happened shortly before 5 a.m.

There is no indication the incident is related to extortion, the SPS says.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 604-599-0502 and refer to file number 26-24784 (SP).
