Police investigating weekend homicide in Surrey’s Sullivan Station neighbourhood

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called in after a homicide in Surrey’s Sullivan Station neighbourhood Saturday evening.

Surrey Police Service (SPS) officers were called to the area of 60th Avenue near 151st Street shortly after 6:30 p.m. after reports of shots fired.

“Upon arrival, members located a man apparently suffering from gunshot wounds,” SPS Sgt. Tige Pollock said.

“[BC Emergency Health Services] attended the scene; however, despite life-saving efforts, the man was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.”

IHIT will be working with the SPS to investigate.
