Three people, including children, were injured Monday when a school bus in B.C.’s Interior crashed and rolled into a ditch.
The Quesnel RCMP says first responders were called to Highway 26, also known as Barkerville Highway, east of Sundown Road around 2:40 p.m.
“The bus had driven into the ditch and rolled over on its side,” said a police statement Tuesday.
Mounties say no other vehicles where involved in the crash, but 16 children and the bus driver were on board.
“Three of the passengers were transported to hospital with minor injuries. The remaining children were either picked up at the scene by family or transferred to a new bus.”
The RCMP says it is still investigating the cause of the crash.
