A section of Abbotsford’s South Fraser Way was closed Wednesday morning, after a driver struck and injured a pedestrian overnight.
In a post to social media, the Abbotsford Police Department (AbbyPD) says the victim was taken to hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.
Police say the driver remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
As of around 3 a.m., South Fraser Way was closed in both directions between McCallum Road and Bourquin Crescent East.
The AbbyPD said it would remain closed for “several hours” as the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service investigates.
