The victim of a hit-and-run in Vancouver last week has died.
On Wednesday, police began investigating after the driver of a white GMC Yukon struck the victim, a 68-year-old man, who was crossing the intersection of Oak Street and West 6th Avenue around 9:15 a.m.
“The driver did not remain at the scene,” said a VPD statement Friday.

Meanwhile, the victim was taken to hospital with what police described as “life-altering injuries.”
In a statement to 1130 NewsRadio, the VPD confirmed Sunday night that the victim had died.
Investigators are still seeking witnesses or those with dashcam video of the collision or the driver fleeing south on Oak Street toward Broadway or West 7th Avenue.
