Search Effort Continues for Missing Man in Saint-Lawrence River in Old Montreal
The search effort is set to enter its second day for a man who disappeared in the waters of the Saint-Lawrence River in Old Montreal on Sunday evening.
Montreal police, known as SPVM, were alerted via 911 calls around 6 p.m., reporting that a man had gone missing near the Bonsecours Terrace after falling into the water.
Authorities suspect that the man entered the water voluntarily, with no criminal involvement suspected at this time.
SPVM divers are scheduled to recommence the search on Monday morning to locate the missing individual.
