“Alert: Popular Roquefort Cheese Brand Recalled Nationwide Over Listeria Scare!”

Health authorities in Canada have issued a recall for a specific brand of Roquefort cheese over concerns related to Listeria contamination.

The affected product, Maison Gabriel Coulet Roquefort – La Cave, was distributed in Ontario and Quebec in both sliced and wedged forms, packaged in 100-gram portions. Identified by the UPC number 8 22775 00337 2 and a best-before date of November 3, 2025, this cheese is the subject of the recall.

Despite the recall, no illnesses linked to the consumption of this cheese have been reported thus far. It is important to note that Listeria monocytogenes contamination may not exhibit visible signs of spoilage, making it crucial to be cautious.

Symptoms of Listeria infection include vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches, severe headache, and neck stiffness. Anyone who has consumed this particular cheese is advised to monitor their health for any such signs over the course of the next 70 days.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is actively investigating the matter and warns that further recalls of other products may follow as part of their food safety measures.
