Pablo Rodriguez, the leader of the Quebec Liberal Party, has urged his former associates in Ottawa, including Prime Minister Mark Carney, to prioritize speaking French.
In response to a Radio-Canada report revealing that the Prime Minister spoke French in less than 20% of his 59 major speeches, Rodriguez was questioned for his opinion on the matter. In a press gathering on Tuesday morning, Rodriguez confirmed that he had conveyed the message to Carney to increase his use of French.
Emphasizing the significance of the French language, Rodriguez mentioned that he consistently reminds his federal counterparts about the importance of bilingualism.
