“Alert: Heavy Rainstorm Targets Northern Lower Mainland, Residents Urged to Prepare”

Brace yourselves, Lower Mainland! Environment Canada is sounding the alarm with a rainfall warning sweeping through areas like West Vancouver, North Vancouver, and beyond.

Forecasters predict a deluge of 50 to 70 millimetres of rain, setting in from Sunday onwards and drenching the region until Monday night.

According to the weather service, a frontal system is rolling in, bringing showers that will evolve from light drizzles tonight to heavy downpours come Monday morning.

Thankfully, the storm is expected to taper off by Monday evening as it moves on.

As the rain pours down, drivers are advised to exercise caution and plan for possible delays on the roads.

“Watch out for pooling water on roadways and in low-lying spots,” warned Environment Canada, highlighting potential visibility issues due to sudden downpours.

In addition to the Lower Mainland, the warning extends to Howe Sound and the Sea to Sky Highway, urging residents in these areas to stay vigilant.
