Knicks Knock Out Raptors, Advance in NBA Cup Dramatically!

In an impressive performance, Jalen Brunson led the charge for the New York Knicks with a stellar 35-point game, including a remarkable 20 points in the opening quarter. The Knicks dominated the undermanned Toronto Raptors, securing a convincing 117-101 victory in the Emirates NBA Cup quarterfinal on Tuesday.

With this win, New York secures its spot in Las Vegas where they are set to face the Orlando Magic this Saturday. Karl-Anthony Towns, despite being a game-time decision, delivered a strong performance with a double-double of 14 points and 16 rebounds as the Knicks (17-7) extended their winning streak to four games.

On the other end, Brandon Ingram put up 31 points, along with seven assists and six rebounds for the struggling Toronto Raptors (15-11), who suffered their fourth consecutive loss. Scottie Barnes contributed 13 points, five rebounds, and four assists in the defeat.

This marks a significant achievement for the Raptors as it is their first time reaching the knockout stage of this in-season tournament. However, they faced challenges with Immanuel Quickley sidelined due to illness and RJ Barrett still recovering from a knee injury.

Despite these setbacks, Jamal Shead stepped up in Quickley’s absence, showcasing a season-high performance with 18 points and seven assists. Ochai Agbaji, who filled in for Barrett, had a quieter game with just three points.
