Surrey police are seeking more victims as they investigate a case involving child exploitation. The investigation, initiated by the Surrey RCMP’s Special Victims Unit in October 2024, focuses on offenses related to child sexual abuse dating back to 2021.
Authorities have apprehended a man and a woman connected to the case. 28-year-old Carter Cooke and 21-year-old Tkhu Khyonh “Mika” Nhuien face charges approved by the BC Prosecution Service. Cooke is accused of accessing, possessing, and distributing child pornography, while both are charged with sexual interference of a person under 16 years, luring a child under 18 years, and making child pornography.
The Surrey Police Service (SPS) is now seeking the public’s assistance in identifying potential additional victims. While details on how the suspects contacted their victims were not disclosed, the SPS has released images of the two individuals.
Sgt. Tige Pollock of the SPS emphasized the importance of public cooperation: “Investigators hope that by sharing images of the accused, the public will recognize them and provide any relevant information about their interactions with these individuals.”
Individuals with information are urged to contact the Surrey Police Service’s non-emergency line at 604-599-0502, quoting file number 25-156955 (SU).
