A seven-hour standoff in Langley concluded Monday with an arrest, after Langley RCMP responded to reports of shots fired at a home near 264th Street and 29th Avenue.
Mounties say they were called to the scene just after 1:00 p.m.
Officers quickly established a perimeter and began negotiations with the suspect, who reportedly fired at a police drone from inside the residence at one point.
After hours of back-and-forth, the man was taken into custody and transported to the hospital for assessment.
“At approximately 8:30 p.m., the situation was safely resolved”, the Langley RCMP said.
