Early on Wednesday morning, over 160 police officers were dispatched in Quebec and New Brunswick for a coordinated crackdown on a criminal group associated with the notorious Hells Angels motorcycle club.
The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) has disclosed that the targeted criminal organization is actively involved in the distribution of cocaine and overseeing territories on behalf of the Hells Angels across various Quebec chapters.
Heading the operation is the National Organized Crime Enforcement Squad, supported by multiple local police departments and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
The SQ has indicated that a detailed report on the operation will be released to the public in the near future.
Emphasizing their focus on dismantling key figures within organized crime, the provincial police force reiterated the squad’s mission to specifically target the leaders of criminal networks.
