Critical Blaze in Oshawa Leaves Man Fighting for Life, Community Shaken

A man is in critical condition following a residential fire in Oshawa that occurred early on Monday morning. Oshawa Fire reported the incident as a “working fire” at a residence located in the Park Road South and Quebec Street vicinity.

The Oshawa Fire Chief, Stephen Barkwell, disclosed that the fire transpired around 4:30 a.m., with a response team of twenty firefighters and the presence of Durham police at the scene. The structure affected by the fire is a duplex comprising two units, with the majority of the damage concentrated in the northern unit.

As of now, the cause of the fire remains undetermined, and crews are still present at the site conducting overhaul operations. Residents are advised to steer clear of the area as the investigation and cleanup efforts continue.
