Montreal police seek potential victims in sexual assault investigation

Montreal police are asking for the public’s help in identifying potential victims of a man accused of sexual assault while offering therapeutic care services online.

Montreal police (SPVM) says Jorge Luis Marin Lotfe, 35, was arrested on Feb. 25 in the borough of Montréal-Nord. He appeared the same day at the Montreal courthouse and faces charges of sexual assault involving two alleged victims.

Police allege the incidents occurred during separate encounters in July 2024 and February 2026, when the suspect was offering massage therapy and chiropractic services.

Investigators say the accused advertised therapeutic care online and invited clients to his home. He allegedly used pretexts related to the victims’ physical condition and took advantage of treatment sessions to commit acts of a sexual nature.

Authorities believe there may be additional victims.

The suspect is described as a white-skinned man who mainly speaks Spanish, with green eyes and brown hair. He is about 1.81 metres tall and weighs approximately 129 kilograms.

Anyone who believes they may have been a victim or has information is urged to contact police by calling 911 or reaching the SPVM’s Sexual Assault Section. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Info-Crime Montréal.

Police say a provincial coordinated investigation structure led by the Sûreté du Québec has been deployed to help identify other potential victims and prevent further offences.
