Montreal is in for a blustery and unsettled stretch of weather beginning today, with showers and strong winds setting the tone for much of the week.
Environment conditions call for showers through the day, with southeast winds at 20 km/h gusting to 40 km/h shifting to stronger southwest winds at 50 km/h and gusts up to 70 km/h by the morning. The high will reach 15 C, with a UV index of 3, or moderate.
Tonight, skies remain mainly cloudy with a 60 per cent chance of showers this evening. Winds will ease from southwest 20 km/h to light, with a low of 6 C.
Tuesday brings cloudy conditions, with rain expected to begin in the afternoon and winds turning northeast at 20 km/h near noon. The daytime high will be 9 C, with a low of 7 C and continued showers overnight.
Midweek conditions remain unsettled. Wednesday will be cloudy with a 60 per cent chance of showers and a high of 13 C, followed by a cloudy night with a low of 9 C.
Showers persist into Thursday, when temperatures climb to a high of 16 C before dipping to 13 C overnight under continued rainfall.
A break arrives Friday with clearing skies and a high of 18 C, though cloudy periods return overnight with a low of 8 C.
The weekend looks mixed, with a 60 per cent chance of showers both Saturday and Saturday night. Highs will reach 19°C during the day and fall to 12 C overnight.
Periods of rain are expected to close out the weekend Sunday, with a high near 13 C.
