Mounties say a suspect is in custody after illegally entering a plane at Vancouver International Airport (YVR) in the early hours of Monday morning.
The Richmond RCMP says it is investigating after a reported security breach at YVR around 4 a.m.
Details are limited, but police say the suspect “accessed an aircraft without authorization.”
In a statement later Monday morning, the RCMP says the situation is resolved, and one individual is now in police custody.
A spokesperson for the Vancouver Airport Authority says it is aware of the situation and the incident has not interrupted airport operations.
Mounties say an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
