The Quebec government has announced a $250 million plan that includes 54 measures for preventive healthcare.

According to a government press release, these 54 measures aim to “reduce the growth of the burden of preventable diseases by 10 per cent and decrease the premature mortality gap linked to socioeconomic inequalities by 10 per cent.”
The plan will enable the implementation of measures that, for example, will “promote, provide, and improve access to physical activities for people who are inactive or minimally active by focusing on opportunities for discovery, initiation, and recreation,” or “offer more support to people who wish to quit smoking,” or “promote healthy lifestyles in the workplace” .
