According to Coquitlam Fire Department Deputy Chief Chris Fox, multiple 911 calls reported heavy smoke coming from Dewdney Trunk Road near Viewmount Drive just after 10:20 a.m.

“Units arrived to find a double-wide trailer with heavy fire and smoke showing from the interior and exterior at multiple points,” Fox said.

“We currently have 24 firefighters and 1 Chief Officer on scene. The fire is under control at this time but is not out. Fire damage is extensive but has been contained to the trailer of origin and adjacent hedging and garden.”
