Fatal motor vehicle collision under investigation in Langley

On Sunday morning, at about 1:57 a.m., Langley RCMP responded to a report of a single vehicle collision at 202 Street and 48 Avenue.

The pickup truck with one occupant that hit a shed on a residential property.

Emergency crews from the Township of Langley Fire Department, British Columbia Ambulance Service, and Langley RCMP attended the scene.

“Sadly, despite the rapid response and efforts of first responders, one individual was pronounced deceased at the scene,” said Sgt. Zynal Sharoom of the Langley RCMP. “The circumstances surrounding the collision are still being examined, and investigators are working to determine the factors involved.”

The Lower Mainland Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) has been deployed to assist with the investigation.
