Longueuil Police (SPAL) says 13 minors have been arrested in connection with a violent armed assault that took place last month near Quartier Dix30 in Brossard.
SPAL carried out 12 searches Wednesday across the Longueuil area, as well as in Saint-Philippe-de-La Prairie and Candiac, as part of what investigators have dubbed Project Connexion.

The arrests stem from an incident that occurred near the Boulevard du Quartier overpass, where several youths allegedly took part in an armed assault that left a 15-year-old boy injured. The teen was transported to hospital for treatment.
According to SPAL, the suspects could face charges including armed assault, assault and complicity.
Among those arrested, four are 15 years old and nine are 16 years old.
The investigation was led by the force’s Major Crimes Unit, with police saying multiple investigative teams worked together to identify the suspects involved.
SPAL says the operation sends a clear message that violent acts involving youth will not be tolerated and that police will continue efforts to combat armed violence and protect public safety.
