One person is dead following a late-night shooting in Langley Tuesday.
The Langley RCMP says it responded to a report of shots fired on Brydon Crescent near 54 Avenue around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Details are limited, but Mounties say first responders arrived and found someone in medical distress.
“Despite life-saving efforts, the individual succumbed to their injuries at the scene,” said Sgt. Zynal Sharoom in a statement Wednesday morning.
“The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called in.”
Officers will be canvassing the neighbourhood and speaking with witnesses.

On May 16, the Langley RCMP reported investigating a targeted shooting on the same city block.
Mounties declined to say if the two incidents are linked.
