Montreal police (SPVM) say three suspects have been arrested nearly four years after a man was gunned down outside a ST-Leonard car wash in what investigators believe was an organized crime-related killing.
SPVM announced Wednesday that Patrick Robert, 52, Michel Duci, 56, and André Carrier, 58, were arrested in Terrebonne, Mascouche and L’Épiphanie.

The three men remain in custody and are expected to appear in court by videoconference to face first-degree murder charges.
The arrests are linked to the fatal shooting of a 51-year-old man on April 12, 2022. Police say the victim was waiting in his vehicle at the entrance of a car wash on Metropolitan Boulevard when he was shot multiple times in broad daylight.
The suspects allegedly fled in a getaway vehicle that was later found burned nearby.
The victim was rushed to hospital in critical condition but later died from his injuries. The homicide was the sixth recorded on the island of Montreal in 2022.
According to the SPVM, investigators with the major crimes unit carried out numerous investigative steps and searches over the past four years before making the arrests.
Police say the case remains linked to organized crime and that evidence gathered during the investigation will be presented in court as proceedings move forward.
