The CTRL + ALT festival is back for its second year at Place du Village until Sunday.
The event brings together drag, burlesque, dance, and electronic music in a celebration created by and for 2SLGBTQI+ communities.

“You can expect unapologetic queerness, you can expect all stars of the night life in Montreal,” said Vicky B. Ouellette, executive director of STUDIO ZX. “You can expect to see the collectives that have been carrying Montreal’s night life in the dark, in the shadows, away from the eyes. But they’re doing the work of building the DNA of the city every single night. That’s what you’re going to see.”
This year’s programming, curated by STUDIO ZX, brings together ten artistic collectives and more than 70 performers across seven unique shows.
Each performance offers something different, promising to keep the village energized all weekend long.
“The music, the collectives that we have, all the dj’s, it’s going to be sick,” said Christen Marlot, host of CTRL + ALT festival. “But I’m also excited for this edition simply because we’re doing things a tiny bit differently. There’s going to be panels, there’s going to be meditation events, so really big spectrum of things to do during the weekend.”
“It’s a festival, but it’s not limited to its cultural impact,” said Ouellette. “It’s a scream, it’s a cry from the art of all those artists and all this scene that is pleading to be seen, pleading to stop being ignored.”
“Just come over here, it’s the sunniest time of the year, literally, so come and join everybody,” said Marlot.
