Abbotsford Crackdown: Police Seize Massive Arsenal and Drugs in Strategic Operation

The Abbotsford Police Department (AbbyPD) revealed today the successful outcomes of their latest targeted initiative, dubbed Project Interruption, which led to a significant confiscation of firearms and drugs.

The genesis of this operation traces back to an ordinary traffic stop in April 2025, according to AbbyPD officials. It was during this routine stop that officers identified a well-known drug trafficker operating a vehicle despite being prohibited from doing so. Subsequent to his apprehension, a search of his person yielded illicit substances and a firearm.

Prompted by this incident, AbbyPD’s Drug Enforcement Unit launched Project Interruption with a focus on the 36-year-old offender in Abbotsford. The investigative efforts involved the execution of multiple search warrants, including one at a dwelling near Deertrail Drive and Rockhill Road.

The search operations resulted in the confiscation of more than 12 kg of various drugs, such as carfentanil, cocaine, and crystal meth. Additionally, authorities seized over $60,000 in cash, along with body armor, a firearm, and multiple loaded magazines.

On June 29th, charges were formally brought against the individual in question. AbbyPD confirmed that the legal proceedings are now underway, marking the conclusion of their thorough investigation.
