Drivers who are used to paying for their parking meter in Montreal from the P$ Mobile Service app are no longer able to do so as of Thursday.
The application, which has been used for several years to pay for parking spaces on the streets and certain lands managed by the Agence de mobilité durable de Montréal, is now replaced by a new app called Mobicité.

Users of the old application, P$ Mobile Service, will need to create a new account on Mobicité. Their data will not be transferred to the new application.
Users will also be able to pay for their parking space on the application’s web version.
One of the new features of Mobicité is the interactive map that shows the parking spaces managed by the agency throughout Montreal.
The Agence de mobilité durable de Montréal decided to replace the P$ Mobile Service application because the contract it had with the owner company was expiring.
A company by the name of Mirego was chosen to develop the new application, which cost $719,000.
The Mobicité app is available for free on the App Store and Google Play.
